I've posted the first of series of KICKS KooKbooK recipes relating to my successful project to demonstrate over 250 users running on hercules under the mvs turnkey. It's available from http://home.gci.net/~mike-noel/KICKS/KooKbooK/KooKbooK.htm. This recipe concerns scripting 3270 application using free open source tools (expect and c3270) so may be useful whether you like KICKS or not. For that matter, whether you use the turkey, or even mvs. The techniques described will work with any system c3270 can connecct to (vm? vse? zos?) - hercules or real iron! At this point I think there will be about a half dozen KooKbooK recipes in this series, covering scripting, configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting. I hope to get all those out before I post the next KICKS release in July.
